Churches together in Stamford had its first Civic Prayer Breakfast on Friday May 26 at the Town Hall on St Mary’s Hill.  This is a gathering where leaders from business, education, health, media, politics, police and community groups come together with leaders of our churches.  It was a time to understand the different needs of our community . . . and to pray for them.  In addition, every business and organization in Stamford was invited to submit prayer requests before the event.  We are committed to praying for them: after all, Jesus invites us to ask for what we need.  We want to put Jesus at the centre of life in Stamford.
